| The HTMC-XI continues a series of conferences held every two or three years under the sponsorship of the IUPAC. The previous conference was held in Aachen (Germany) 2000. This time at Tokyo (Japan), the organizers bring together the various groups working on fundamental and applied aspects of high temperature materials chemistry.
The conference will consist of 7 plenary lectures, 19 keynote lectures, 7 oral presentations and about 160 posters. Due to the large number of contributions, the desire to avoid parallel sessions and the limited time, a small number of presentations were only able to be accepted for oral sessions. Hence, visit the posters – they provide excellent presentations. Contributions were submitted from universities, research centers and industries, reflecting the broad scope of the conference. Hand-on demonstrations of thermodynamic data bases and computer software will be presented. We can now look forward to a very stimulating and enjoyable meeting.
